As a vibrant jazz location, Leipzig can be experienced in many different ways. Every two years, the local music center in Grassistraße contributes to this in its very own way. 

This time she sends a Hab' Acht!

As in the past, renowned guest stars of the international jazz scene will form workshop-like ad hoc groups from the student body of Berns, Enders, Fischer, Neumann, Schrabbe, Wollny & Co. in the days leading up to the two concert evenings. In addition, academic symposia on the subject of jazz will be held in the afternoons on both festival days for the first time.

A special highlight at the opening of the festival on Saturday will be the prizewinners' concert by the winning ensemble of the "Central German Jazz Prize 2024" Max Löbner and his band KLSD. Afterwards, the formations formed by drummer Mareike Wiening and saxophonist Uli Kempendorff will play. On Sunday, the HMT Big Band under the direction of David Heiß will be joined by the bands led by singer Lucia Cadotsch and bassist Reza Askari.
