This year, no other act underlined the fact that the Leipzig Jazz Days are far from just presenting traditional jazz tunes as much as MAIKA. The band led by frontwoman and songwriter Maika Küster's sound is somewhere between sophisticated 80s pop and electronica. In the run-up to their performance, we spoke to Maika and her keyboardist Benedikt Ter Braak.
