Our music journalism media workshop, which took place for the second time during the last Leipzig Jazz Days, has been nominated for the prestigious German Jazz Award 2025 in the "Journalistic Achievement" category. The project, which we implemented together with lecturers Heidi Eichenberg, Jan Paersch and Sophie Emilie Beha, promotes young talent in jazz journalism and strengthens networking between young journalists and artists.

The workshops have produced a large number of contributions, which will be published in the festival blog "Laut und Leipzig" and on MDR Kultur and the city magazine kreuzer were published.

The German Jazz Award ceremony will take place in Cologne on June 13, 2025. We are delighted about the nomination and the recognition of our commitment to more diverse and accessible reporting in the music industry and are very excited to see if we can take the prize back to Leipzig.
