MUSIKZEIT - TRUMPET

The neat festival MUSIKZEIT - the little sister of the Leipziger Jazztage - has now also arrived in its 30s. But no reason to act too grown up or even old-fashioned! It is the declared goal of this mini-festival to present musicians who are constantly searching for something new and provoke artistic evolution. It is allowed to draw inspiration from different styles across genres, to put contemporary jazz to the test in its border regions. And what could be more interesting than to take an ancient instrument like the "trumpet" - its beginnings date back 3500 years to ancient Egypt - on such a journey of exploration and to test the potentials of the instrument together for their suitability for the present? Two summer evenings await you in the beautiful garden of Villa Hasenholz (for the right festival feeling you may even camp out) with these artists: First Date: Narr/Martin/Stadtfeld/Tjong-Ayong, Tilo Weber's Five Fauns, HYPNAGOGIA, Flowers & Fabini feat. Teresa Allgaier and a closing DJ set by Marie Tjong-Ayong.
