Guitarist Steffi Narr, bassist Philipp Martin and drummer Max Stadtfeld, three well-known members of the Leipzig jazz scene, will meet Berlin-based trumpeter Marie Tjong-Ayong for the first time this evening.
The award-winning drummer Tilo Weber likes to tell stories. And it's a pleasure to listen to him tell them. With his four fellow players he will enchant us with his short stories in the form of songs like "Song of Solomon", "Rouse My Heart" or "I too Can Love".
Inhale... exhale... hardly anything is more everyday for us and at the same time of such great importance as breathing: it supplies our organisms with oxygen, it keeps us alive. So it is not surprising that in yoga special attention is paid to breathing - it is the key to relaxing the body, letting go of all racing thoughts.
We all know it: this in-between zone of wakefulness and sleep. Between control and letting go.
The two musicians from Leipzig are united by their passion for sound design and electronic sound generation. Together with violinist Teresa Allgaier, they create a musical image of our digitally influenced world.
With her third performance, Marie Tjong-Ayong qualifies as a quasi-resident of our mini-festival and at the same time proves herself to be a musical multi-talent.
