Double concert with 4evaBreezy - Originally, the trio around Dave Gisler should have performed together with the exceptional New York trumpeter Jaimie Branch. After her unexpected death at the end of August, the band now commemorates their colleague and friend in a very special tribute evening - and on a musical level: a great artist.

At home in jazz, but visiting rock, punk and noise - the Dave Gisler Trio confidently helps itself to the dazzling possibilities of musical freedom. Guitarist Dave Gisler, double bassist Raffaele Bossard and drummer Lionel Friedli form the basis of the trio, which in the past effortlessly expanded into a quartet with Jaimie Branch. Today saxophonist David Murray, who otherwise made the quintet perfect, is number four. Together, they develop an atmospherically dense sound that thrills with punky energy, '60s free-jazz aesthetics and massive rock accents. Gisler, whose reputation as an idiosyncratic sound architect precedes him, at the same time fully exploits the sound zones of modern jazz. A musical experience whose intensity can best be experienced live.
