The big band program "Let's Get Out of Here" by Dresden composer Mathis Nicolaus builds up musical expectations in compositions, some of which are performed for the first time, only to destroy them again shortly afterwards. Stories are told in expansive improvisations, contrasting with the fully utilized polyphony of the jazz orchestra.
