3rd JazzDate (17.-19.11)
TIP
The third edition of the cross-genre LeipJAZZig festival again links various art forms with contemporary jazz and improvised music. The festival will close with a jazz-literature-film double concert: Michael Breitenbach, Clemens Litschko and Elisabeth Fues will musically read Sartre's story "Herostrat" about his rampage. The deep turmoil of the perpetrator will be expressed in a multi-layered way in the recitation and the musical improvisation. With the approach of the festival, of course, the Leipzig film scoring band par excellence may not be missing: Johannes Moritz, Timo Glöckner and Philipp Rohmer alias LU:V dedicate their program to the experimental animated puppet films of Kurt Weiler.
Michael Breitenbach (ss), Clemens Litschko (dr) & Elisabeth Fues (recitation)
LU:V - Johannes Moritz (sax, cl, fl, melod), Timo Glöckner (g, akk, singing saw) & Philipp Rohmer (kb, tub)
