25th National Jazz Young Talent Festival (31.3.-2.4.)
TIP
Initiated in 1992 by Moritzbastei and Jazzclub Leipzig, the festival now presents young, up-and-coming jazz acts from all over Germany for the 25th time. In his second year as artistic director, Steffen Wilde from the Tonne in Dresden has selected eleven bands from over 50 applications: four from Berlin, two each from Leipzig and Dresden, and one each from Weimar, Cologne and Rostock. Surprisingly, not one piano trio is among them.
Day 3 will be opened by the Weimar duo Auditiver Wahnsinn. This will be followed by the Leipzig quintet 2gegen3 and from Berlin the Hans Anselm Quintet and the sextet Oktopuzzle.
