Double concert with TOM SKINNER "VOICES OF BISHARA" - Swiss jazz flutist Nancy Meier brings a rarely heard format to the stage: flute quartet with drums.

NANCELOT enchants the audience with sophisticated interplay and great joy of playing. What quickly becomes apparent: there is no hierarchy, all voices have equal rights. NANCELOT is only too happy to twist musical desires and meanders refreshingly agilely through ravenous note labyrinths.

Her "flute quartet" is complemented by Berlin drummer and winner of the German Jazz Prize Tilo Weber. The latter elegantly highlights the wild rhythms and artfully interwoven melodies of Meier's compositions. The band's sound evolves impressively into a strangely graceful mesh of joyfulness and thrills. In doing so, the quintet not only plays written-out music, but also dares to fearlessly venture into improvisational depths.
