The Rainald Brederling Quintet formed in Weimar in the summer of 2018. In keeping with the times, the band embarked on a search for itself - or rather for Rainald. Because he has disappeared. And so, strictly speaking, the quintet is a quartet - but that doesn't detract from the band's fascination, on the contrary!

Active since the 1990s, the HMT Big Band, under the direction of flautist and composer Rolf von Nordenskjöld, has long since become a permanent institution on the Leipzig jazz scene.

As a rule, music is particularly inspiring when it doesn't just follow a familiar thread, but brings several together. In the best case scenario, this creates something new from something old.
