Jazz Young Talent Award
The application deadline for the Leipzig Jazz Young Talent Award of the Marion Ermer Foundation 2015 is March 31 - so shoo, shoo!
In 2015, the Leipzig Jazz Young Talent Award of the Marion Ermer Foundation will be presented for the 19th time. The prize of 6,500 euros is provided by the foundation and awarded by the city of Leipzig.
Musicians and ensembles who are active in the field of jazz and who can be expected to show special artistic development can apply for the prize. They should not be older than 30 years at the time of the announcement (i.e. have not yet celebrated their 30th birthday) and have their center of life in the directorate district of Leipzig.
The prize can only be awarded to one person or one ensemble. The award will be presented at a prize-winners' concert as part of the 39th Leipzig Jazz Days in cooperation with Jazzclub Leipzig e.V..
Three copies of the application documents must be submitted to the Cultural Office of the City of Leipzig, Neues Rathaus, Martin-Luther-Ring 4-6, 04109 Leipzig, by March 31, 2015 (postmark):
1. jazz music work sample (demo band / demo CD),
2. information on the artistic career,
3. description and reflection of the current jazz musical activity,
4. curriculum vitae.
