LET'S TALK ABOUT JAZZ ... and warm breezes.
The time of moping has come to an end! The sun shows the earth and us humans its happiest face, the lilies of the valley come out of their hiding places, warm breezes blow across green landscapes - or at least we are already getting a little closer to this idea about the upcoming May step by step.
The merry month has begun and brings not only a lot of sun and long weekends, but also a lot of jazz!

But before I really get down to the nitty-gritty, I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you readers. Hi! I'm Manolya and I had the great honor to spend my voluntary social year at the Jazzclub Leipzig. You've probably read one or two of my tips or seen me in a dark corner of one of those concert halls taking pictures of the musicians on stage. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my team colleagues for the wonderful and extraordinary time you have given me. During my time here I have not only experienced many jazz concerts, but above all I have grown very fond of the people around me.
But enough with the melancholy, because this month a lot of things are coming up! On 3.4. at UT Connewitz we start with the Atom String Quartet - one of the most fascinating string quartets in the world, originating in Warsaw. This will be followed on May 18 by a concert by Ronny Graupe - here we can see one of the most gifted jazz guitarists of our time together with his ensemble on the stage of the naTo. In addition to his unique talent, he will also bring compositions that have not been heard a second time. Last but not least you can look forward to the catch-up concert of Mirna Bogdanovic. This will take place on 26.5. in the naTo.
Also not to be forgotten are the following events in May in and around Leipzig: the Tuesday HMT Stage Nights at the Moritzbastei, the Wave Gotik Treffen, the Interzone Festival, the Jazzfestival Moers or the Women in Jazz Festival at our neighbors in Halle.
