Jazz calendar #318

LET'S TALK ABOUT JAZZ ... and hide and seek in the garden.

It's the time when small gifts are hidden in the garden or in the house. The time when chicken eggs are quite inelegantly blown out and painted. The time of the egg hunt. The time in which the get-together with the family is again much too suddenly before the door. After all, Christmas was just around the corner. And the weather doesn't seem to be ready to leave winter behind either.

And yet: It's Easter, yes! Whether we want to believe it or not, it's finally time to dip eggs into bright colors. And also a time that somehow reminds us of Christmas, because even now the supermarkets are bursting at the seams with chocolate holiday candy. Only this time it's cute bunnies instead of Santas. By necessity, everyone will be talking about how early the bunnies were to buy at the supermarket this time (oh yes, at least one person in the family circle will bring up this topic at the holiday table!). But it's also a time for reflection and (hopefully) peaceful get-togethers. So let's also use the time to take a deep breath, to eat cake, to look for eggs.

And who can use in between times a break from the Easter preparations or from the contemplation of the holidays, has in Leipzig (almost too) many good opportunities to escape to our concerts:

Robert Lucaciu and Philip Scholz are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year with their concert series "Reihe2"! And invite no less musicians than Johanna Summer and Anna Tsombanis for the concert on 3.4. in the naTo. On 15.4. we welcome you to another concert of a special kind: Anamorphosis will play on the stage of the naTo and dedicate themselves to the art of distorted representation not only through their band name.

But you will also find many great events outside of our own concerts: We warmly recommend the FUTURUM Festival for young jazz artists (20-22 April), the 27th LeipJAZZig Festival (20-23 April) and the HMT Jazzfest Mini (27 April). Last but not least, jazzahead should be mentioned for all those who like to travel, where the trade fair and the concert program are combined in one big event in the beautiful city of Bremen.

Happy Holidays,

Jil
