The "Union-Theater Connewitz" is the oldest surviving cinema in Leipzig and was first lit in 1912. In 2001, the "UT Connewitz e.V." took on the preservation of the old structure and since then has organized a wide variety of music, film and theater events in an unmistakable ambience.

During the “ Leipziger Jazztage ,” Supersilent feat. Stian Westerhus, Hidden Orchestra, Jaki Liebezeit, Burnt Friedman, Eivind Aarset, the Jakob Bro Trio, Empirical, and others have already performed here.
