Home venue of our year-round concert series in the city center

The basement of Café Telegraph in Leipzig's city center, in the immediate vicinity of the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University of Music and Theater, the market square and St. Thomas Church, has been the main venue of "Jazzclub Live" since 2010. The program there was awarded the Rock, Pop, Jazz Venue Program Prize by the German government in 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2018 (the only one to be awarded twice in Leipzig). In addition to big names such as The Bad Plus, Aaron Goldberg and Michael Wollny, young bands made up of students from the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University of Music and Performing Arts play here every Tuesday on "HMT Stage Night".

During the Jazztage, the Telegraph has already hosted Das Kapital, Hyperactive Kid, Joe Sache and Heiner Reinhardt. In recent years, the cozy cellar has served as the closing venue, where we celebrated the finale of the Jazztage with the Tobias Hoffman Trio and Christian Kögel's "Queen Jazz", among others. This year we want to dance and close this evening with the young Cologne band SALOMEA.
