Advenzz Benefizz Jazz 2024
As we all know, you have to do everything yourself. In times when refugees and socially disadvantaged people are increasingly being blamed for the crises of the present, this is all the more true. And so events like the ADVENZZ BENEFIZZ are currently more important than ever.
The BENEFIZZ series has been held twice a year since 2015. This year's Advent edition will be opened by the quartet Trunk/ Bergler/Kleimann/Mück led by the Leipzig trombonist Alma Trunk, who is known not least for her work in the Spielvereinigung Sued. On this evening she will present her own program. Afterwards, the quartet CLANK, led by Clemens Litschko, will present a set that moves between traditional jazz tunes and the soundtracks of their youth. The organizing team has also been able to secure the Leipzig singer CARY, who will present a highly contemporary sound with pop, hip-hop, garage and electro influences. The evening will be rounded off by the Leipzig quintet í n f u ð i o n, who will create an energetic sound between jazz and funk on stage, with 100% of the proceeds from this year's edition going to the two civil society organizations SOS Humanity and TiMMi to help - admission is donation-based
