Uli Gumpert turns 70 - reason enough to honor the jubilarian with a concert and celebrate with him. A style-setter as a composer, arranger and pianist beyond his generation, he stands as a rock in the landscape of German jazz. The winner of the German Jazz Prize 2005 is also one of those musicians who have selflessly supported the "campus inter|national" from the very beginning.
In this concert, he will now present two of his longstanding duos: first that with saxophonist Silke Eberhard, then that with Baby Sommer. And of course the musicians will also play in a trio.
