What "New York - Rio -Tokyo" was to pop in the 80s, could one day become "New York - Erfurt - Leipzig" to jazz in the 2010s. Because that's where Keisuke Matsuno, Alex Binder and Jan Roth alias Trio Schmetterling live. And from their butterfly perspective, the tranquil Krämerbrücke, the Sachsenbrücke awakening from hibernation and the monumental Brooklyn Bridge are not that far apart.

With roaring guitar pads, singing bass and narrating drums, the trio forms innovative instrumental music that seems to be inspired by post-rock, experimental music, minimal, avant-garde and jazz.
