Torun Eriksen
Torun Eriksen distinguishes herself with a ""surprisingly black"" voice, velvety-dark, soulful phrasing, and a repertoire to match, made up mostly of jazzy soul and rhythm'n'blues originals. Ever since Jazzland boss Bugge Wesseltoft first heard Torun Eriksen's velvety dark voice, he has fallen for her, praising her in the media as ""one of the greatest vocal talents he has heard in Norway in recent years."" That's why the keyboard player naturally offered to produce Torun Eriksen's debut album and release it on his label. Torun Eriksen laid the foundation for her musical career as a six-year-old when she joined a gospel choir.
