A hissing, cracking and humming somewhere down there opens the piece "Tiefenunschärfe" by the band of the same name from Leipzig. The low-tone quintet around mastermind Julian Schließmeyer sounds successively crazy, beautiful, evil, quarter-tone, loud, quiet, grooving, ponderous, light, blurred - and vice versa. Two tubas, a bass clarinet, bass and drums are joined now and then by a tenor saxophone. Tiefenunschärfe is presented by the Jazzkollektiv Leipzig at the Laden auf Zeit. - Johannes Moritz (ts, bcl), Mathias Hochmuth (tb, sousa), Philipp Rohmer (b), Philipp Scholz (dr), Julian Schließmeyer (tb, comp)
