Sleeping Island

Ambient legend Robert Rich developed his Sleep Concerts back in the 80s. In order to get full attention from the audience for his very slow and flowing music, he saw no other way than to allow them to fall asleep during the concert. Otherwise he could not imagine that one would listen to this music for hours in peace. (The fact that he was also a scientist working on sleep research at the time certainly played a role).
In October 2013, Rich gave one of these Sleep Concerts at the Unsound Festival in Krakow. Heiko Wunderlich and Hartmut Trautvetter were there - and brought the concept to Leipzig, first to an allotment garden in summer 2014, now with Nikae (Golden Pudel) to the Conne Island.
So pack your sleeping bag and sleeping mat (the very brave are not ashamed of cuddly toys either) and then show up on time - no one will be let in after 11 pm. By the way, there is also breakfast at sunrise...
