TIP
The Leipzig pop sextet Karl die Große has released two EPs in the past few years, and on September 29 they have now released their first album, again with rather unusual instrumentation (trombone and clarinet to vocals, keys and guitar battle bass), but also with a bit of electronics and field recordings. This gives corners and edges to the music reminiscent of Sophie Hunger, Feist and Die Höchste Eisenbahn. The LVZ said about the record: "the best Leipzig pop album since the B minor Mass. And that's just a bit exaggerated." That's nonsense, of course. It is not exaggerated at all.
