Johannes Enders & Florian Kästner
T ! P
With Enders Room / Enders Dome and the Tied & Tickled Trio, which he founded at the end of the 90s with the Acher brothers (with whose band The Notwist he is always in the studio), he explores the possibilities of combining jazz with minimal music, post-rock and electronic: Johannes Enders is considered by many to be the most influential jazz saxophonist in Germany. He once studied with Lee Konitz, Branford Marsalis and Donald Byrd. Since 2009 he has been a professor himself in Leipzig - where he met Flo Kästner, with whom he now performs as a duo. Previously known primarily as the pianist of SpVgg Sued, he presented a furious solo album in 2014: "Gleiswechsel" makes the boundaries between composition and improvisation invisible - just like those between classical music and jazz.
