TIP
The three-day LeipJAZZig festival with explicit opening to other arts takes place for the second time in 2015. It will be kicked off by tap dancer Sebastian Weber, who interviewed greats of tap dance history in the USA, immersed himself in jazz folklore, found charismatic contemporary witnesses, and also vibrant places and resonant stories, which he let flow in "Looking for Groundhog". Film clips, live music and furious tap dancing are complemented by Tobi Christl's changeable voice. - Sebastian Weber (tap, bodyperc, voice) and Tobi Christl (voc, elec)
Michael Hametner's preference for onomatopoeic lyricism of the 19th and 20th century meets in the syllabic landscapes of "Ringelstern & Morgennatz" multilayered improvisations and colorfully used instruments by Stephan König, Thomas Moritz and Kay Kalytta. - Michael Hametner (voice), Stephan König (p), Thomas Moritz (kb) and Kay Kalytta (perc)
