In the former venue of the Jazzclub Leipzig, the trio of the SUM II Jazzgesellschaft Leipzig plays, Frieder Schuller reads and Elmar Schenkel moderates an evening between remarkable jazz styles and "The fear of the park bench before supper". The SUM II Jazzgesellschaft sends a three-man delegation with trombone, piano and bass in the direction of swing and blues, hard bop, cool jazz and Latin. In addition, Frieder Schuller opens his new book of poems, published in 2016 by Connewitzer Verlagsbuchhandlung. His poems seem to be dream fragments from a forgotten world, over which lies a shadow and which makes the poet murmur and whisper. Elmar Schenkel, who is announced as the moderator, must be understood accordingly as the medium of the whole. The ruffled sympathizer is a professor of English literature in Leipzig, as well as a writer, translator, painter and cyclist of the world.
