Emil Viklický & Edouard Bineau
Jazz calendar tip
In the Czech Republic Emil Viklický is an authority (SHQ, Reduta): sensitive, internationally in demand (Bill Frisell, Georg Mraz, Jiri Stivin, Iva Bittová), versatile composer (opera, film, concert). He became known above all for his exploration - inspired by Janacek - of the folklore of his Moravian homeland, which he combined with the influence of his studies at Berkley College in Boston.
Pianistically perfect, Edouard Bineau, who has his roots with Bill Evans, fuses American tradition and European modernity with swinging elegance and profound creativity: inventive, energetic, lyrically sensitive and full of charm.
