Destroyer
TIP
With their ninth studio album "Kaputt" the Canadian indie band around singer/songwriter Dan Bejar (cover picture) made their international breakthrough. Now the trio, expanded to an eight-piece ensemble, is coming to Germany for four concerts with the follow-up "Poison Season". The band expansion does justice to Destroyer's increasingly orchestral sound, whose self-proclaimed "european blues" is reminiscent of David Bowie in its joy of experimentation. And so a chamber orchestra meets a dandyesque hybrid of Bryan Ferry, Mick Jagger and Nikki Sudden, soft rock meets brass sections, funky basslines and swirling congas.
