FUTURUM (11.-13.04.2024)

Launched in 1991, the nationwide jazz festival for young talent FUTURUM will once again be held at the Moritzbastei this year. As always, Jazzclub Leipzig is on board as a cooperation partner. The organizers' declared aim is to offer young, often still unknown artists, bands and projects a public stage.

Jazz is the starting point of the artistic performance, but is often enriched by contemporary styles and approaches, resulting in new, forward-looking sounds. You can look forward to the Leipzig formation Four Nations Quartett, for example, who - as the name suggests - bring four different cultural backgrounds with them, from which a variety of musical influences ranging from jazz and classical music to contemporary styles arise.
