Casual pulsating groove - a sound reminiscent of The Meters
253 million different sounds, the U.S. Trade Commission calculated, can be produced on a Hammond B3. Those who play Hammond organs in jazz have always played this particular model. Jo(chen) Aldinger is no exception. The Stuttgart native, who studied in Dresden, Boston and Folkwang, is the holder of the first German Hammond organ diploma. Since 2004, Aldinger has been lecturing at the Dresden University of Music. His move to the Saxon capital was accompanied by the founding of his trio. With Konni Behrendt on guitar and Claas Lausen on drums, Aldinger creates a casual, pulsating groove reminiscent of the 70s and The Meters.
