Werner Neumann, professor of jazz guitar at the HMT Leipzig, wrote to us about this evening: "We play wild jazz, and since there are two guitarists, it also gets nice and loud. But sometimes also nice and quiet".
Wüst has so many euphonious synonyms that one hardly knows which fulfillment one would like to wish for this evening. Vetrackt snotty to inexplicably crude. That gives hope - at least for warp 10 without the loss of structural integrity! But that is probably another topic. Arne Jansen is the second man on guitar. For those who like numbers: Oliver Hochkeppel wrote in the Süddeutsche Zeitung that Jansen is one of the top three German jazz guitarists. The band becomes a quartet with Robert Lucaciu on double bass and Philipp Scholz on drums. Both were already winners of the Leipzig Jazz Nachwuchspreis, with the "Series 2" they enrich Leipzig's concert landscape and with their trio PLOT they release a new album on the independent label WhyPlayJazz in 2019. In short: If this is not a Friday evening as it is written in the book: wild and beautiful! Even more so in the new Werkcafé concert hall of Neue Musik Leipzig.
