The colorful, lyrical, but also energetic compositions of vibraphonist Volker Heuken portray with earworm potential various places in Portugal as well as moods and emotions that they triggered in Heuken, who was born in Leverkusen in 1990. In the process, the timbres of piano and vibraphone (Lukas Grossmann and Heuken) blend together, the winds (Julian Bossert and Antonia Hausmann on saxophone and trombone) alternate between melodic and accompanying roles, while bass and drums (Alex Bayer and Jan F.
