Fat house band of the club of the same name and something like the Spielvereinigung Süd in Cologne: Sound powerful, unshaven, hot!

The 18-member Subway Jazz Orchestra was founded in Cologne in 2013 and presents a new program of current big band music there every month at the traditional Subway club - exclusively with its own arrangements. The musicians' collective sees itself as a platform for composers and arrangers of all stripes who come from the Cologne as well as the national and international jazz scene. Together, they realize cross-genre projects and creative concepts at the highest level and enrich contemporary big band jazz. The Subway Jazz Orchestra has already performed at the Kölner Philharmonie and at the jazz festivals in Essen and Moers as well as at SummerKLAENG.
