Sophia Bicking, a Berlin native, and Olga Reznichenko, a Leipzig native from Taganrog, Russia, met at the local HMT in 2012. Since then, they have played numerous concerts in Germany and Portugal, both as a duo and as a sextet, including at XJAZZ in Berlin and as winners of the Sparda Jazz Award at the Jazz Rally Düsseldorf in 2017. In the same year, they released their first studio album, "Shells In Motion." As on their EP "Directions", together with their band and as a duo they explore their very own worlds of sound, ranging from jazz to pop or even classical: polyrhythmically entangled, avant-garde, sometimes groovy, sometimes introverted and dreamy. In the naTo Sophia& Olga will perform as a sextet.
