The Leipzig trio PLOT won the Young Munich Jazz Prize in 2014 and is now touring Germany with the highly acclaimed album "Tightrope". Saxophonist Sebastian Wehle, double bassist Robert Lucaciu and drummer Philipp Scholz belong to the spearhead of the lively young jazz scene in Leipzig and on the new album they dare to play pieces by the Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Credence Clearwater Revival. Elegant and smooth, highly concentrated and yet with immense improvisational looseness, the three musicians transform classics like "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "Across the Universe" into pieces that sound like their own. PLOT reaches for the themes with passion, bows to the melodies and pays homage to the grooves.
