Born in Taganrog (Russia), Olga Reznichenko began her musical training as a classical pianist at an early age. But at the latest since she came to study in Leipzig in 2012, she has been developing her own musical language much more in the field of jazz. Already in 2014 she won first place at the GETXO jazz competition with Ylativ Algo, and has since played with various bands in Germany, Portugal, Belgium and Spain.
She now plays her HMT graduation concert with her latest trio with Lorenz Heigenhuber (double bass) and Max Stadtfeld (drums), combining complex harmonic and rhythmic structures with a minimalist texture, drawing on luminously accessible melodies.
