Frank Möbus and Werner Neumann are two of the most eye-catching jazz guitarists in Germany and have gained a great deal of recognition through their collaboration with well-known jazz greats (Frank Möbus with Kenny Wheeler, Jim Black, Chris Speed, Carlos Bica and many others). / Werner Neumann with Adam Nussbaum, John Goldsby, Richie Beirach and many others).
But this concert is not only a meeting of two outstanding guitarists, it is also a meeting of the professors for jazz guitar of the two central German music academies Leipzig and Weimar.
In this capacity, the two visited each other's students for workshops and master classes during the past academic year, and so they came up with the idea of living and experiencing this exchange themselves. To this end, they found and still find support in two young musicians who are themselves graduates of these two universities.
Matthias Eichhorn (double bass, now teaching at the Leipzig University of Applied Sciences) and Jan Roth (drums) have already appeared together as a well-rehearsed rhythm section in various bands, worth mentioning here are the group "Change Request", the "Weimar BigBand" or "Clueso & Bernewitz Trio".
But also individually they are conspicuously active in the German and especially Central German jazz scene, both as sidemen and with their own projects.

Look forward to a meeting of two exceptional guitarists, to a young, energetic and yet sensitive rhythm section, to four great soloists, to joy and excitement...
