Melt Trio
Peter Meyer (g), Bernhard Meyer (b), Moritz Baumgärtner (dr)
Peter and Bernhard Meyer and Moritz Baumgärtner named their joint debut album "Melt" in 2010, and because that fit the band idea so well, they later simply renamed the band "Melt Trio". Melt was and is in two respects over their music: Jazz improvisation, alternative rock and ambient flow into each other and the individual musicians are completely absorbed in the group sound instead of isolating themselves soloistically. This double amalgam of the Melt Trio is so strongly condensed that something completely new actually emerges, which is difficult to name: "Nirvana on jazz" or "Bill Frisell 2.0" the three have already been called. And what do the Meyer brothers and Bonaparte drummer Baumgärtner have to say about it? Nothing. They continue to throw into the melting pot what they find interesting.
