For one evening, musicians from different scenes and musical backgrounds come together in ever-changing, one-of-a-kind combinations. The ensembles are put together spontaneously on the spot and each plays about 10–15 minutes of freely improvised music that draws its energy precisely from the unpredictability of the moment.

Instrumentalists, singers, electronic musicians, experimental artists, and those interested in other areas of performance art are welcome. Experienced musicians play alongside younger colleagues, and different musical styles come together. No prepared pieces, no prior rehearsal.

Musicians are asked to register in advance by email (produktion@jazzclub-leipzig.de), though walk-ins are welcome on the night of the event.
