The young pianist Jonas Timm from Leipzig traveled for a long time through Myanmar, a country in which the state religion Buddhism, the ruling military junta and the increasing influence of Western capitalism confront each other. On his trip, Timm was particularly impressed by the way the people of Myanmar treat each other and their relationship to time. With texts by Erich Fromm in his pocket and in the back of his mind, Timm wrote his first sketches during his stay, which he later recorded with his trio: In Philipp Scholz on percussion and Paul Lapp on double bass, he found two comrades-in-arms to follow him on his musical journey. The audience can now do the same when the three present their travel album at the concert with picture and video presentations.
