Jazzclub Live: Nautilus
T ! P
With e-music and submarine this quartet goes on research trips. Or was it sub-music and e-boat? In any case, it was not named after the submarines of Robert Fulton or Jules Vernes, but after the animal genus 'Nautilus'. Incidentally, this belongs to the family of 'pearl boats'. Again something learned in the magazine for "Jazz and other sciences".
The duo Schlozi/Lucaciu, which has long been known beyond Leipzig, started its jazz club "Series 2" in April 2013, in which Robert and Philipp always invite interesting well-known musicians and start off into the unknown with them. So far they have had Johannes Enders, Achim Kaufmann, Arne Jansen and Werner Neumann as guests.
In January 2014, pianist Jürgen Friedrich (professor of arrangement and composition in Mannheim, who has been showered with awards) and saxophonist Hayden Chisholm (with trio and the film "Sound of Heimat" at the Jazztage 2013) stood on the naTo stage with the two young Leipzigers. This unique concert became a permanent band: Nautilus.
