Jazzclub Live: Nate Wood - fOUR "X.IT"

Recently, in an interview with the US radio station WBGO, Nate Wood said he wished he had more limbs, forgetting to emphasize his extraordinary ability to multitask while complaining about the physical limitations of his body. In his latest project, Nate Wood - fOUR, he devotes his attention to several synthesizers, an electric bass and a drum set at the same time. To this he sings. About futurism. About what else. His set-up is made possible by a long path of ergonomic experimentation aimed at minimizing physical strain while playing and maximizing musical possibilities in the meantime. "X.IT" is the name of fOUR's current album - Wood recorded all the songs on it in his apartment, mixed them himself and posted the accompanying videos online, which have already been clicked on thousands of times. Nate Wood uses the technical possibilities of our present in every respect and feels challenged to new musical creativity - especially by the fragmentation of his attention to several instruments.
