Jazzclub Live: Little Heroes #1
TIP
A new series is starting. Topic: Guitars and their heroes. Or the other way around. The world of rock/blues/soul/pop/jazz is unimaginable without a guitar. Period. Almost every hit since the dawn of popular music has been associated with a particular guitar and its sound. "Smoke on the Water," "Satisfaction," "Jonny B Goode," any Hendrix or Santana song. Hendrix, Santana, Blackmore, B.B. King, Clapton and Jimmy Page, as well as Pat Metheny, John Scofield and Mike Stern - all great heroes of the guitar. But also in this country there are heroes of this instrument, musicians and musicians who are associated with a special guitar.
"Little Heroes" is meant to introduce both, guitar and player. We will start with the wonderful Lars Kutschke from Dresden with his Telecaster. He is a jazz/rock guitarist with deep roots in the blues - and he will talk about his music and the Telecaster, that invention by Leo Fender that has shaped the sound of everything from the Stones to country and western. Together with host Werner Neumann he will talk shop and play his own compositions.
