Jazzclub Live: Été Large
Luise Volkmann is a passionate storyteller or - if you will - a subtle portrait painter. At the center of each of her pieces is always a narrative. For her cycle "Eudaimonia," she has called together a collective of twelve co-conspirators who represent not only different musical scenes, but also divergent musical views. In December 2019, Été Large will bring a new program to the stage that pays homage to the '68 generation while musically tracing a personal father-daughter relationship. As the daughter of a '68er, Volkmann feels a strong connection to this generation, which permanently changed life in society through its striving for freedom and sense of solidarity, through demonstrations and the breaking of social constraints. All these currents found musical expression in rock'n'roll and blues, which also flow into Été Large's new program, for which the ensemble has been expanded to include French guitarist Paul Jarret.
