A Swiss, a German and an Austrian jazz school are sending a joint big band on a three-country tour. The collaboration between the Institute for Jazz and Folk Music at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and the Institute for Jazz and Improvised Music at the Bruckner University Linz, which has already been successful over the past two years under the name LILU Band, is now being expanded to include the Institute for New Music and Jazz Weimar. Hämi Hämmerli for Lucerne, Frank Möbus for Weimar and Christoph Cech for Linz, who is also leading the band this time, are the minds behind what is hopefully a trend-setting project. The band interprets new pieces by the contributors and many a polymetric grooving sound tapestry by Christoph Cech.
