Jazzclub Live: Anna Webber Trio
TIP
Canadian saxophonist and composer Anna Webber is an integral part of the young avant-garde scene of Brooklyn / New York. Having studied composition and saxophone at the Manhattan School of Music and the Jazzinstitut Berlin, she is a busy bandleader, improviser and composer who persistently works to avoid the musically expected and create new spectrums of sound and rhythm.
"Simple" (Skirl) she recorded with two of the best musicians of the New York avant-garde, pianist Matt Mitchell and drummer John Hollenbeck, who recently performed in Leipzig with his Claudia Quintet and as a guest of the Spielvereinigung Sued.
Anna Webber (sax), Matt Mitchell (p) and John Hollenbeck (dr)
