Jazzclub Live: Anna-Lena Schnabel
TIP
The piano is prepared, with books or bottles. The sound box of the saxophone remains unused from time to time, only the mouthpiece (whose reed is traditionally made of bamboo) is then played. The sound of the tabla gives some pieces a Far Eastern touch. Also classical music, rock, blues and tango shimmer again and again through the music of Anna-Lena Schnabel. The still so young saxophonist from Hamburg has formed an international quartet and recorded the album "Books, Bottles and Bamboo" in New York, which is now released by the renowned label Enja.
Anna-Lena Schnabel (sax), Florian Weber (p), Thomas Morgan (kb) and Dan Weiss (dr)
