Sax, Bass, Drums - Jazz and Punk from Amsterdam

With Luc Ex (b) and Michael Vatcher (dr), saxophonist Jan Klare has incorporated two internationally renowned partners into his gaudy Amsterdam trio RKet, which plays a mixture of jazz and punk. Luc Ex was a long time member of the Dutch punk band The Ex and recorded with Sonic Youth, the US-American Michael Vatcher has recorded CDs with John Zorn, among others, and is regarded worldwide as one of the style-forming improvisers on his instrument. Jan Klare recently pushed himself to the fore with formations such as The Dorf and Deep Schrott. Even beyond these band names, he is known for his lacy sense of humor: "1000 Years of Jazz", the chamber opera "Ich war die Krawatte von Prinz Claus" and many more are testimony to this.
