One knew the Richie-Beirach-student Florian Kästner before his departure to higher (more northern) climes in this country as SV-southern BigBand-pianist, from the Bill-Evans-solo-project, from the Cole-Porter-Songbook with the bassist ""Matze"" Eichhorn and some other telegraphic events. Now, as a Liveclub guest, he is starting his own concert series with duos he has created. The opening guest is the multi-instrumental woodwind player Thomas Zoller, professor of composition jazz/rock/pop and director of the hfmdd jazz orchestra at the Hochschule für Musik "Carl Maria von Weber" Dresden. Zoller's music unconventionally combines big band jazz with free jazz, free funk, rock as well as new music.
