Wes Montgomery is probably the most influential guitarist in jazz history, his Riverside recordings from the 60s, his melodic solo runs and his idiosyncratic thumb strumming are legendary to this day - and thus ideally suited for the eighth edition of our classics series. This time the guest is Boss City, the trio around Ulf Wakenius. The Swede played for ten years in the Oscar Peterson Quartet, the jazz Olympus for guitarists. Wakenius' fans include Pat Metheny, John McLaughlin, John Scofield and Mike Stern, who may be familiar to some.
Ulf Wakenius (g), Leonardo Corradi (hammond b3) and Tony Match (dr)
